Plantation, FL – September 30, 2020Castle Group, the premier choice for community management, is proud to announce the completion of a successful Broward Leaders Webinar on Friday, September 25, 2020. The focus of the webinar was building awareness of current local COVID-19 guidelines which included a robust discussion on the latest developments affecting operations of local business and communities in Broward. The panel was moderated by James Donnelly, Castle’s Founder and CEO, and consisted of Mayor Dale V.C. Holness, Mayor of Broward County, Superintendent Robert Runice of Broward County Public Schools and Mr. Gino Santorio, CEO of Broward Health.

“As the virus continues to spread, it’s incumbent upon all of us to follow the rules and do what’s required,” said James Donnelly. “The health and safety of the communities we manage and the health of all Broward County residents is very important to us at Castle Group so putting this excellent panel of local leader together was just common sense,” continued Donnelly. Mayor Holness shared with all that the positivity rate is Broward was down to less than 5%. The release of Emergency Order 2025 allows for the loosening of many restrictions to assist in re-opening the economy. The county has also just released their budget which will create additional jobs.

Superintendent Runcie thanked the county for assisting the school system to help them have a nurse in every school. “Broward County Public Schools has been involved in blended learning way before the pandemic hit so we were in a better position to use the e-learning tools than other counties,” said Superintendent Runcie. BCPS also secured the commitment from the Broward Health Department to provide priority testing to them within 24 hours that will allow them to maintain educational continuity. Electrostatic misters, plexi glass and PPE have been purchased, which puts BCPS is in a better position to re-open the classrooms.

Gino Santorio, CEO of Broward Health stated that he was very proud of how Broward Health has responded as a hospital. This was in part thanks to their amazing care givers and how the community came together to help and support the caregivers with daily food donations and childcare assistance. Since the beginning of the outbreak Broward Health has treated more than 3,200 admitted patients and was able to send over 90% home.
