Lindsay D. Norman

President

Lindsay D. Norman has been in property management for over 19 years and is a well-known and respected leader. Lindsay draws on her seasoned expertise in all facets of property management, operations, marketing, and development. Lindsay has managed all phases of multifamily assets from lease-ups to full-scale multi-million dollar renovations, maximizing return on investment. With over 12,000 units managed with several top nationwide developers and management companies such as ZRS, Alliance Residential, The Bainbridge Companies, and Mill Creek Residential, she has also overseen the sale and transfer of over $600 million in assets. She has managed high-rise, mid-rise, garden-style assets as well as single family rental homes on all levels throughout her career. Under Lindsay’s innovative guidance as President, Crown Residential has embarked on a myriad of exciting projects. As their portfolio of impressive rental communities expands, Crown Residential has entered into additional markets in the Southeastern United States. Lindsay specializes in relationship building with her teams and clients. Prior to joining Crown Residential, she has worked in several major markets including, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and New York City. Lindsay studied Marketing with a concentration in advertising at Florida Atlantic University.

James Donnelly

Chairman & Founder

James Donnelly is the Chairman & Founder of Crown Residential. He is also a CPA, angel investor, serial entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

Born in Ottawa, Canada, James worked for Arthur Andersen before co-founding one of Canada’s fastest growing investment companies. He moved his family to Florida in 1996.

He has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since 1998 and is a past Chair of the Florida Chapter, past Chair of the Southern US Region, and sat on the International Regional Chairs Council.

In 2019, James received the Sun Sentinel’s Excalibur Business Leader of the Year for Broward County as well as the 2019 Terry Stiles South Florida Leadership Award presented by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. James is a past Finalist of Florida’s Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He has also been recognized in the South Florida Business Journal as one of Broward County’s Ultimate CEO’s, was inducted in 2014 into the Hall of Fame at Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship and was honored by Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2017 on Free Enterprise Day as a Companion Medalist.

Most recently, James was appointed to the Nova Southeastern University Board of Trustees and became a member of The Florida Council of 100. James is the Chairman of the Community Foundation of Broward, past Chair of the Broward Workshop, and sits on the Board of Advisors of the LeMieux Center for Public Policy at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

James holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University, and Chartered Professional Accountant designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants. His passions are his family, community, his company, and teammates, travelling, skiing, reading, and writing.

Operations

Ashley McIntosh

Vice President

Joining Crown Residential in 2023, Ashley McIntosh brings over 15 years of experience in the multi-family industry. Beginning her career in 2008 as a Pool Concierge in Atlanta, GA, Ashley found an instant connection with the industry and has matriculated through every onsite position until 2019, when she was promoted to Regional Property Manager at Greystar. Ashley was the 2021 Regional Manager of the Year and continues to strive for excellence in every journey she comes across. During her 4 years in the Regional Property Manager role, she oversaw lease-ups, stabilized assets, garden-style communities and participated in repositioning several communities from C class assets to A class assets. Ashley has had oversight in South Florida, Southwest Florida, Atlanta and North Carolina.

Although she has a wealth of knowledge, she is also a true servant leader who puts people first, always recognizing that they are the true competitive advantage. Ashley has participated in implementing several processes to forge efficiency and ease of work for the teams she serves. Ashley has a gift of connecting with the people she leads and is committed to the professional growth of her teams. Ashley serves on the Florida Apartment Association’s, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board as co-chair for 2024, the SEFAA 2024 Board of Directors, Chairperson for the annual Trade Show presented by SEFAA and is also a 2023 graduate of the Florida Apartment Association’s Leadership Lyceum course. Ashley has also been recognized as the 2021 Project Manager of the Year, for her efforts in the curation of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion employee resource group, for the South Florida market at Greystar. Ashley studied Business Administration at Broward College and has committed herself to be a lifelong learner – capturing every opportunity to grow, every day.

Ashley currently resides in Pompano Beach, FL where she and her husband share 2 children. She and her husband serve the City of Pompano Beach through volunteering in sports, arts and entertainment. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, serving at her local church, watching Tiny Desk concerts and cooking!

Christopher Smith

Regional Director

Joining Crown Residential in 2024, Christopher brings over 15 years of experience in the multifamily and hospitality industries. His extensive background includes expertise in garden style, mid-rise, and high-rise properties. Specializing in lease-ups, Christopher is also adept at managing stabilized and value-add projects.

Prior to Crown Residential, Christopher held significant roles with leading companies such as Greystar, Alliance Residential, and W Hotels. He is well-versed in key markets, including South Florida, Atlanta, and Denver. Known for creating a strong team environment and elevating customer service, Christopher’s leadership and industry insight make him a valuable addition to our team.

Andrew Rahman

Director of Marketing

Andrew Rahman joins Crown Residential with over 10+ years of experience in the multifamily industry.

Prior to joining Crown Residential, Andrew held corporate and operation positions with notable organizations including Camden, Bainbridge, ranging from Regional Marketing Manger to the Groundskeeper positions. In addition to the variety of positions he has managed portfolios in the South Florida, Orlando, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Boston markets with unit counts ranging from 2500 to 10K+. His expertise includes marketing lease-up/development, rebranded, repositioned, work force housing, and stabilized assets. He is well-versed in digital and creative marketing along with project management which has been instrumental in the stabilization of over 8K units and exceeding budgeted occupancy goals. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is also an active member of the SEFAA and AAGO apartment associations.

Andrew has attended the University of Florida for his Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Seminole State College of Florida with his Associate of Arts in Marketing and the University of Miami for Digital Marketing. He is also certified with his Professional Certification of Marketing (PCM), Certification of Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP), Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Green Professional (GPRO).

Andrew currently resides in Miami, FL where he spends his time at the beach and spending time with his family and friends.

Lauran Batista

Director of Operations

Lauran brings 30 years of Property Management experience with a strong history of overseeing innovation and building technology.

Lauran joined the Crown Residential team in 2021 and previously served as Vice President of Operations and Administration for The Bainbridge Companies. During her tenure with Bainbridge, she was responsible for leading operational procedures, with a focus on efficiency with the use of technology. In addition, she created and enhanced front and back-end company operational procedures.

Prior to working with Bainbridge, she served as Software and Operations Training Manager for Archstone-Smith where she trained and supported hundreds of associates in all aspects of daily operations. She began her career in on-site roles and spent 13 years as a Property Manager.

During her career, she successfully implemented four software platforms changes, created global operational policies and procedures, led a team supporting 500+ associates and was an integral part of hundreds of acquisitions and dispositions.

She has earned a Florida Real Estate License, Community Association License, Certified Apartment Manager and studied Business Administration at Broward College.

Carlos Zamorano

Director of Accounting

Carlos has more than seven years of experience in accounting, finance, and real estate industry. He has extensive experience in financial statements preparation, budgeting, forecasting as well as cash flow management.

Carlos joined the Crown Residential team in 2022 and he has been instrumental in the adoption of comprehensive accounting solutions for our team, particularly in the areas of financial reporting and accounting operations for our real estate development and commercial real estate platforms.

Prior to joining Crown Residential, Carlos was the Accounting Manager for TRG Management Company, a subsidiary of The Related Group. While working at TRG Management, Carlos was responsible for overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting for several housing projects, including workforce and affordable.

Carlos holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida International University.

Nicole D'Amico

Corporate Operations Manager

Nicole D’Amico is an experienced and dedicated Corporate Operations Manager with a strong background in the Property Management industry. With over 8 years of industry experience, Nicole has proven her expertise and versatility in various roles, starting as a Leasing Advisor and progressing through positions as an Assistant Property Director and Property Director. Nicole was the first Property Director hired with our company, and currently, she holds a position in the Home Office, where she excels in overseeing and optimizing operations for all properties and the company.

Nicole’s commitment to professional growth is evident through her active involvement with SEFAA, FAA, GNAA, etc. where she stays up to date on industry trends and collaborates with fellow professionals to drive excellence. With a diverse skill set, Nicole is proficient in a wide range of areas, including operation management, IT support, HR support, benefit administration, payroll management, sales, and various property management software systems such as MRI Software, RealPage, OneSite, Yardi Voyager, Yieldstar, and more. Her deep understanding of these tools enables her to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Sunny Riling

Controller

Sunny Riling has over 25 years of accounting experience in construction and property management. Beginning her career in the construction industry, she worked for Transeastern Homes, the largest privately owned home builder in Florida prior to its acquisition by TOUSA, Inc. Sunny left the construction industry in 2008 for property management and has spent the last 16 years learning the industry and its unique accounting environment. She joined Crown Residential as the Corporate Controller in Oct 2021, and her extensive experience provides a bottom-to-top knowledge base that benefits a wide range of clientele.

Sunny is a Florida native, born in Ft. Myers, growing up in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a Major in Accounting.
